This big-time fun networking event on Feb. 16 will once again be the don’t-miss kick-off of the IEDA Annual Meeting. Over $10,000 was raised for the IEDA Foundation’s student technician scholarship program at the IEDA/Bryan Auction Live Auction during the 2023 Annual Meeting. Doug Bryan, who organized the event, is excited to see the charitable side of the auction grow even bigger at the 2024 Annual Meeting, which takes place in Kissimmee, Florida, February 16–18. The auction will be at 10 a.m., Friday, February 16, under a big white tent on the front lawn of the Reunion Resort. “We’re hoping both Standard Members and Affiliate Members all get involved so we can really raise some good money for the Foundation – it’s a great cause,” said Doug. “People don’t have to donate only big items; just think of things that people want and use.” That could be anything from trips, jewelry, wine and experiences, to outdoor equipment and accessories like coolers, binoculars, hunting items, sporting goods, or iPads and other electronics. And Doug makes it easy: Just send the items you want to donate to Bryan Auction/Bryan Heavy Equipment at 101 County Line Rd. E, Oelwein, Iowa, 50662, and his team will make sure they’re brought to the live auction on February 16. Relax and Have Fun With All Your IEDA Friends The event stands out as a major highlight of the Annual Meeting, Doug added. Set in a beautiful and relaxed environment, the auction is designed to be a fun networking time, bringing industry friends together for a day of food & drinks and fun socializing. On the equipment side, the IEDA Live Auction is different from anything else in the industry, set apart with the credibility and integrity of featuring equipment and vehicles consigned only by IEDA members. Doug says everything is welcome, including big and small equipment, cars, and trucks. Consigning is easy, and IEDA members receive a special rate that’s less than half of most other auction houses – just 5%. Bryan Auction uses dual platforms for the event: Machinery Trader and Proxy Bid, and Doug says his company will spend more than $60,000 in advertising to promote the exciting IEDA Live Auction. “It’s very affordable to sell with us, and we make it easy, too,” Doug said. “You don’t have to move anything – your equipment can stay safe at your yard until payment is collected. It’s a simple and seamless process.” Why not start looking now at what all you can consign and donate toward the 2024 IEDA Live Auction? It’s a great way to support the Foundation and build up your association while having a blast with all your IEDA peers.
