USED PRICES BOTTOM, INCREASES EXPECTED

Used construction equipment pricing appears to be bottoming, and most executives expect used prices to increase during the next 90 days. That’s the most significant finding following conversations with executives across the U.S. and Canada. Executives reported some stabilization in the market in February, but pricing stability seems to be happening faster than previously anticipated. This is primarily a function of supply: prior excesses have generally been worked down, and tariff implementation is expected to fuel an even greater appetite for used machines. The demand environment, however, is a bit less certain. Though stable for now, the outlook is tenuous, as trade policy changes and broader market challenges could still push the market either way.
