It’s been a heck of a lot longer than the two weeks first requested to flatten the curve. So on my flight down to Miami recently I reflected on my top 10 lessons from these past 9000 hours. Here is …Lesson One: Time Is Precious Ever since we were kids, we have been reminded that life is short. But ever since we were kids, yesterday always came. A new day followed the day before. Time marched on and we moved to the next stage. The next goal. The next season. The next experience. The next interaction. If life was short, it didn’t feel that way because there was always a new tomorrow. The pandemic changed all that. Rather than a new day following the day before. The same day appeared again. And again. And again. Time seemed to stand still. Our movements were restricted. Time wasn’t precious. It was abundant. There was no end in sight to the time we had in lockdown. Or as social distancers. As faceless mask-covered humans. Time is precious. Every second of every day, we – that stirring soul and eternal spirit within each of us wants to live. Not exist. But live.
